Walking up to the fly-zone, you pass through beautiful, green nature, but once there, you forget all about the surroundings you're in. After getting your safety harness and glove from the instructors, you gather around Raymond, the main-man, He shows everybody on a small test course how the harness works and how you should use everything.
Safety is key, so do pay attention to this part of your adventure. When all the rules are clear, you form a single-file line in front of the first tree. It's unbelievable but true, but after you have climbed this first tree, it will take you around an hour before you set foot on the ground again. Before that you fly between 200-year-old mango and mahogany trees, looking down on very impressive greens.
You will work up a real sweat, climbing, swinging and bending in and under the wires. The water cooler tied up in a tree somewhere halfway was a welcome refresher. All the instructors are great fun and provide you with much needed encouragement.
