Arkefly is based in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. It is the charter carrier of the Dutch arm of TUI and its main base is Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. It carries out regular and chartered flights, although most of the chartered flights are operated for the Dutch tour operator Arke.

Starting in December 2007 ArkeFly is offering a weekly flight from the Netherlands to St.Maarten with packages starting at € 699.00 including accommodations.

One flight a week is not that much, but the intention is to maintain the flights the entire year and they offer some alternative airlift from the Netherlands to the two weekly flights by KLM in terms of seat availability and price that can help bring more vacationers to "The Friendly Island."
