As new as the airport terminal building, Kaffe Sint Maarten, owned and operated by former St. Maarten Miss Universe contestant/finalist Myrtiile Brookson, is an experience in every cup of mochacino, latte, frappacino, cappuccino, espresso and the regular un-supped cup of coffee.
Kaffe's extraordinary brews have led it to unseat Kangaroo Court
, which had reigned as Coffeehouse supreme consecutively for years. The just three months' old Kaffe has captured travellers and a new breed, the airport diners' crew, to name it the Best Place to have Coffee on the island in this years The Daily Heralds "The Best Of".
The source of Kaffe's secret to success is coffee beans grown on a Panamanian plantation 1,500 metres above sea level. Planted by five Swedish brothers, the coffee beans are grown and harvested by a completely biological process. Kaffe is an Italian franchise. Brookson wanted to bring a difference to the airport building and chose to work with the franchise after observing that most of the other places had mostly an American flare.
Aside from the delicious coffee blends, Kaffe has an assortment of fruit smoothies, protein shakes and other healthy stuff. Adding variety to Kaffe's extensive list of coffee blends and brews is a selection of freshly baked pastries from ZeeBest
, voted the number one place to have breakfast for several years now.
