The Daily Heralds "The Best Of" Voters have a fresh winner in the Italian cuisine category. Ristorante La Gondola of David Foini truly speaks the language of pasta, a language that our voters warmly embrace.
David first made his signature pasta on St. Maarten at la Raviolina for stores and restaurant and later also for take-out. Eventually he opened a restaurant next door and served the pasta that made La Raviolina famous.
Today, La Gondola has moved to
Atlantis Casino, where it's serving fresh pasta, oven-baked pizzas and creative specials to a large appreciative audience.
Start with the homemade meat ravioli or the tenderly soft Os-sobuco (braised veal shank) al la Milanese and finish with the fantasy dessert inspired by the Venetian carnival, which is a fabulous selection of homemade Ti-ramisu, warm chocolate tart and frozen nougat served with raspberry sauce.
