With its hotels right on the beach or overlooking the bay with an extraordinary view on the ocean and the island of St.Barts, Green Cay, Pinel and Tintamarre, Orient Beach is certainly the longest stretch of beach on the island. It is dotted with Bars and Cafés offering a variety of scenes.
The clear waters are very shallow near the shore, and the sea floor is almost entirely sand.
When the wind blows this beach is very popular with the island's windsurfers, who take advantage of the bump & jump conditions caused by the choppy swell.
For those of you looking for the definitive Orient beach party, wander along the beach in direction
Waikiki Beach,
Bikini Beach or
Kakao Beach where there are several bars playing Caribbean music and serving cold bier and Mango Coladas in the sun! Here every water-sport awaits you: windsurf, sailing, water and jet ski, diving, and you will find lounge chairs, umbrellas for rent, local items sold on the spot, little boutiques are part of this lively spot.
On the southern part, a little in retreat the island naturist beach. The far end of the beach is calmer and quieter, less people and much less music.
