St. Maarten is connected to the world by several providers of telephone, cellular and Internet services, as well as a cable TV companies like Canal+ and CanalSAT Caraibes as well as St.Maarten Cable TV , providing access to all major US networks and a number of European channels.

Satellite television reception is also available for private homes. Including DirecTV, DISH Network.

There are several Radio stations on both sites of the island. The local station for the dutch part is Voice of St Maarten. BBC World Service and Voice of America can be received. The Leeward Broadcasting Corporation is based in St Maarten.
